WORKSHOP / RETREAT OUTLINE(S) & FEES

CREATIVITY RE-TREAT: Dance & Drum with TAHYA classes invite participants to embark on a journey toward relaxation and healing as creativity is re-kindled. Together we'll re-discover the movements residing within that resonate with the circular patterns of ancient traditions as we spiral in recognition of individual eminence.

Combining movements steeped in antiquity with the sounds of riqq, frame drum, dumbek, finger cymbals, sistrum and bell we'll create an invocation in recognition and celebration of individual eminence. Reconnect with the ancient traditions of drumming & dance that date back to ancient civilizations.

These classes are designed to elevate physical and spiritual awareness through an exploration of age-old rhythms and movement.

DANCE & DRUM WITH TAHYA
~ One-day 3-hour Class ~
Saturday OR Sunday

Making rhythm and movement accessible in our DAILY life, I also offer a one-day 3-hr. "Dance & Drum with Tahya" workshop. Playing simple rhythmic patterns on hand drums, participants experience synchronization and expanded creativity. Combining hand drumming with movement is an effective way of centering the body/mind/spirit. This class opens with a series of gentle stretches followed by a series of circular movements. Everyone is then invited to play hand drum. We start with the basic strokes but as the class progresses improvisation is encouraged. Gradually, movement is added as we recreate the oldest known dance: the ritual act of walking a circular path.

Reconnect with the ancient traditions of drumming & dance that date back to ancient civilizations.
