Tahya combines 20 years experience teaching Danse Orientale, a tradition steeped in antiquity, with the talents of Pete Barnhart, a brilliant percussionist expertly versed to present West African, North African and Middle Eastern rhythms.
Designed to spark an interest and enthusiasm for drumming and dance while sharing positive esprit, this program begins with a

Independently they have performed throughout the U.S. Working together combining their talents as World Drums and Dance, Tahya and Pete have enjoyed successful presentations at a variety of venues throughout Pennsylvania. They now look forward to bringing World Drums and Dance into your community to promote the unity drumming and dance render. In addition, experiencing the joy of rhythm and movement is invigorating and fun!

Pete Barnhart masterfully teaches drumming. He considers drumming a great tool, 'an ancient technology' for bringing people together for community, healing, and joy. Together with Tahya, he invites participants to embrace the music and dance to emerge renewed and refreshed.
