Join us for a weekend retreat immersing yourself in the history and mystery of Ancient Egyptian culture.

After 20+ years of dedicated study including nine excursions to Egypt, Gloriel now shares her knowledge of Ancient Egyptian Teachings (AET) combining the metaphysical aspects with cultural, historical, anthropological and archeological studies on Ancient Egyptian civilizations.

Retreat also includes frame drum and movement sessions with Danse Orientale artist Tahya and a workshop to 'Create Your Own Cartouche in Hieroglyphs' with Bella Scrittura Calligraphy.

En'shallah, weekend will culminate with a visit to the famed "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs" exhibit at the Franklin Institute.

NOTE: Typically, our PA retreats include a visit to
the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology,
which has a truly magnificent exhibit of Ancient Egyptian artifacts...
However, due to the exciting opportunity to view the Tutankhamun exhibit in 2007,
we are currently foregoing the Univ. of Penn exhibit.

This weekend retreat is designed to afford participants the opportunity to explore the rich cosmology of Ancient Egypt in combination with the circular movements and rich rhythm patterns of Egyptian frame drumming and belly dancing. Enjoy a soul nuturing experience filled with relaxing/restorative guided imagery and visualization combined with the magic of creative expresession while delving into the history and mystery imbedded in beautiful artifacts from the 'Golden Age of the Pharaohs.'

In combination with these teachings, Tracy Swift-Hahn, owner/principal designer Bella Scrittura Calligraphy, facilitates 'Create Your Own Cartouche in Hieroglyphs' and Tahya offers frame drum and movement classes inviting participants to expore the circular movements and rich rhythm patterns of ancient dance arts.
