Veena & Neena

Yours truly was invited to perform at a gala with world's most famous bellydancing twins Veena and Neena headlining the event. Despite their fame, I found these radiant smiling goddesses of loveliness and beauty perfectly delightful. I participated in the workshop they presented on Friday in which they provided a smashing overview of the wide variety of dance from throughout the country of India introducing the participants to elements of Bharatnatyam, Filmi, and Rajastani among others. I found them to be very good instructors. Furthermore, I found the city of Charleston simply charming and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great thanks to the folks at Eastern Winds Oasis for coordinating such an event. I look forward to returning to Charleston for an extended visit. I also hope to dance with Veena and Neena again one day very soon!
