Participants had this to say when asked....
What worked for you:
Paulo presented a great demonstration of nice beats as well as clear signals. He had great charisma, always talking across to us never talking down. The incorporation of large physical gestures is especially applicable to my work with autistic (non-verbal) children.

I appreciated the non-judgmental framework Paulo established from the very start of the weekend combined with positive reinforcement.
- Caryn Cziriak, System Support Analyst

The warmth, compassion and total acceptance given by Paulo truly encouraged major risk-taking and a feeling of success.
- Regina Smock, M.D., Psychiatrist
Lehigh Valley, PA
The format was well done and easy to learn; the material was presented in a way that was empowering to the beginner as well as the more advanced player.
- Don Johnson, C.A.C

The workshop was more than just learning how to facilitate a drum circle.
The group gathered as strangers but became a family in a few hours. We
were empowered not only by Paulo, but by each other.

As a yoga instructor, I often encounter many levels of experience among students within one class. The drum facilitation workshop with Paulo Mattioli gave me so many tips on how to handle a large mixed-level group or a group of students brand new to yoga. I went to the workshop as a beginner to drumming and came away from it feeling more confident with my drumming skills *and* equipped with a variety of new leadership skills he so expertly interwove into his workshop presentation. I recommend this workshop to anyone who works in a group setting, drummers or not!
